go!go!vanillas

go!go!vanillas is a four-piece band consisting of Tatsuya Maki (vocals/guitar), Shintaro Yanagisawa (guitar), Keisuke Hasegawa (bass), and Jet Seiya (drums). They made their indie debut in 2013 with "Ningen Sanka / Across the University," and released their first album, "Magic Number," the following year after moving to a major label. Since then, they have continued to evolve and leap forward without being confined to any particular genre, releasing numerous anthems such as "Heisei Pain" and "Amazing Race." Go!go!vanillas' crossover sound, which stretches the boundaries of rock and roll, from garage rock and hardcore to ska, funk, R&B, and more, is rooted in an unwavering respect for and exploration of roots music, which is the band's identity. They have also expanded their fan base through constant touring and powerful live performances. During their nationwide tour "DREAMS TOUR 2023-2024," held from 2023 to 2024, they successfully performed two days at their largest venue to date, Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall 9-11. In January 2024, they moved to Pony Canyon's label, IRORI Records. Their first single since the move, "SHAKE," was the band's first overseas recording. Produced at a prestigious recording studio in London, the song further breaks new ground. "Dandelion," released in July 2025, is the ending theme for the second season of the TV anime "SAKAMOTO DAYS." "SAKAMOTO DAYS" is a hugely popular series with a total circulation of over 15 million copies worldwide. In September of the same year, they released a new EP, "SCARY MONSTERS EP," containing a total of five songs including "Dandelion." Starting in October, Vanillas will embark on their largest nationwide tour to date, titled "go!go!vanillas SCARY MONSTERS TOUR 2025-2026," which will include concerts in halls across the country as well as arena shows in Tokyo, Hyogo, and Aichi.
