Alex Pratt, known as musician Alex from Tokyo, conveys the exhilarating and liberating power of music. His career spans over 30 years and three continents: DJing as Alex from Tokyo, music production at Tokyo Black Star, sound design and international coordination at omotesound, innovative sound engineering at Japanese professional audio brand PHONON, and management at record label world famous.Raised in Tokyo, based in Paris, and having spent several years in New York and Berlin, Alex's global influence is undeniable. Since the late 1990s, he has made waves with his music styling and curation, and cultural consulting work, acting as a connector in the international scenes of fashion, art, culture, and lifestyle.At the end of 2023, Alex released the Japanese electronic dance music compilation "Japan Vibrations Vol. 1" on his own label.Currently, he is in charge of the in-store music for fashion brands such as Y-3 and soph.net, tailored to each collection and season. As part of my radio activities, starting in the fall of 2025, I will be producing a regular program called "world famous" on InterFM in Tokyo every last Thursday of the month from 25:30 to 26:30, a music selection program called "Ta bi bi to" on the London online radio station ROVR, and a monthly DJ mix program on Tsugi Radio in Paris.
