A solo project by Takaki Horigome.Formed in 1996 as a duo with his brother, the project transitioned through a band format before arriving at its current configuration in 2021.With an ever-evolving sound and a distinctive lyrical world, the project has garnered wide-ranging support across generations and national borders. Activities extend well beyond live performance, including songwriting for various artists, composing music for television dramas and films, creating theme songs for broadcast programs, and work as a radio DJ.In 2025, a LIVE Blu-ray, KIRINJI 25th ANNIVERSARY LIVE, was released on January 29, followed by the digital single “Uta to Guitar” on March 19. The Billboard Live tour held in July the same year sold out all eight shows. Further highlights include a first appearance at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’25, as well as headline shows in Shanghai and Guangzhou and performances at festivals in South Korea in November, marking an active presence both in Japan and internationally.In 2026, the album TOWN BEAT will be released on January 9, followed by a full band tour, KIRINJI TOUR 2026, starting January 12 and visiting Fukuoka, Aichi, Osaka, and Tokyo.
