A band consisting of Takashi Minono, Toshifumi Yamane, Hirokazu Yamagata, and Takashi Kashiwakura.
Primarily creating instrumental music, the band blends a wide range of elements, including pop, post-rock, math rock, hardcore punk, emo, jazz, R&B, hip hop, and electronica, to build a unique sound within rock music.
In 2002, they released the EP Songs, Ideas We Forgot, and in 2005, their first full album The Book About My Idle Plot on a Vague Anxiety. They shattered the conventions of post-rock, leaving a significant mark in the field of instrumental experimental music with tracks and performances infused with the intensity of hardcore. Since then, they have expanded their releases and live performances, gaining recognition both domestically and internationally.
In 2024, they released their 4th album NOW I SEE THE LIGHT, a work that bridges the experimental restraint of their later years with the explosive energy of their early sound, presenting new possibilities for the band.
In 2025, marking their 25th anniversary since formation, they will embark on a world tour, including a domestic tour. On October 25, they will hold a special commemorative performance at the Ryogoku Kokugikan, which will be their largest-scale show to date.
