Singer / Rapper / Producer, Nenashi is a musical alias for Hiro-a-key’s personal artistic project.
Nenashi has been active as a soul singer who freely uses singing, rapping, and beatboxing to express a new texture with his exceptional vocal range and groove. To eliminate any stereotypes or preconceptions about Asians releasing R&B/Soul music, Nenashi began carefully crafting and delivering his music to the world. By performing specifically in English, the common language, his goal was to create without disclosing any identities such as nationality or face, hoping that people would listen solely to his pure music. Even after revealing his identity, the journey of this attention-grabbing multi-artist, whose works are being shared by music enthusiasts around the world, continues. Nenashi, who has traveled to more than 20 countries including the US, Brazil, South Korea, Thailand, France, the UK, Germany, and many more, Nenashi has experienced different cultures and identifies as a “rootless wanderer”, the very meaning of his alias. In addition to his solo work as an artist, he has also participated in multiple collaborations and partnerships, both domestically and internationally, with his compositions for the brand “Beats” which featured professional soccer player Ritsu Doan, as well as Jose James, worldly known American Jazz/HipHop singer song writer, Halia Beamer, a Hawaiian TikTok star with 7.2 million followers, and J-Pop artists Chara, Miliyah Kato and more.
