Marking 20 years since his solo debut, KREVA continues to gain momentum as he pushes forward at the forefront of Japan’s hip-hop scene.
KREVA, a hip hop artist, made his solo major debut in 2004 with the song “Neiro” (Sound). As a solo hip hop artist, his second album Ai Jibun Hakuhaku (Love, Self-Exhibition) became the first ever to debut at No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking. He also made history as the first Asian artist to appear on MTV Unplugged and continues to lead the Japanese hip hop scene. KREVA is involved in various creative activities, including writing songs and producing for other artists, as well as writing Japanese lyrics for Broadway musicals such as In The Heights and Moulin Rouge. His 2021 digital album LOOP END / LOOP START reached No. 1 on both Oricon and Billboard Japan’s weekly rankings.
Entering his 20th anniversary of his solo debut in 2024, KREVA is actively involved in many projects, including KREVA CLASS – New Rap Classroom (12 shows) and KREVA in Billboard Live TOUR 2024. On November 3rd, he released three vinyl records for “Record Day,” with a new song, “Forever Student,” released on November 4th. From January 24th to February 3rd, he held his first exhibition, Rappers, Paper, and Pen at GALLERY X by PARCO. His new album Project K is scheduled for release on February 19, 2025. From March 12, 2025, KREVA will embark on a nationwide tour, KREVA LIVE 2025 “Project K Tour”, with 21 performances across 19 cities, culminating in a show on June 17 in Fukuoka. Known for writing lyrics, composing music, creating tracks, rapping, and producing everything himself, KREVA is one of the most influential figures in the Japanese music industry.
