Hitsujibungaku are an alternative rock band consisting of vocalist and guitarist Shiotsuka Moeka, bassist Yurika Kawanishi, and drummer Hiroa Fukuda.
The group made their major label debut in 2020 from F.C.L.S., a label within Sony Music. Their 2nd major label album our hope was released in 2022 and won the CD Shop Awards Grand Prize. Beginning September 2023, the group will embark on a solo tour of 12 shows across 10 locations throughout Japan, as well as a mainstage performance on the Fuji Rock Festival’s Green Stage.
The band has also begun a full-scale overseas expansion, with tickets for their first overseas solo live performance at Taipei Legacy in Taiwan selling out in only 10 minutes. They are currently planning more overseas performances and major collaborations in the future, aiming for a further leap forward while making great strides.
Their latest single “more than words” is an ending theme song to The Shibuya Incident Arc of “Jujutsu Kaisen”.
In terms of live performances, they appeared at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’23 and recorded an unprecedented turnout for an artist appearing on the GREEN STAGE during the daytime.
In addition, from March this year, the band held its first Asia tour “Hitsujibungaku ASIA TOUR 2024,” a seven-show tour of Seoul, Mainland China, Taipei, and Bangkok, and on April 21, held its first solo performance at Yokohama Arena, the largest in its career, “Hitsujibungaku LIVE Tickets for “Hitsujibungaku Live 2024 “III”” sold out within 3 minutes after they went on sale, and the band is making great strides, both in Japan and abroad, creating a whirlwind of energy and flexibility with the aim of making even greater strides.
